Армении, Белоруссии, Кубе и Таиланду удалось полностью остановить распространение ВИЧ-инфекции среди детей, заявил генеральный секретарь ООН Пан Ги Мун.

Выступая 8 июня на заседании Генеральной Ассамблеи ООН высокого уровня по борьбе с ВИЧ/СПИД, Пан Ги Мун сообщил, что число новых случаев заражения ВИЧ-инфекцией среди детей сократилось более чем вдвое за последние 15 лет.

"Четыре страны их устранили полностью: Куба, Таиланд, Армения и Белоруссия. Я надеюсь, что вскоре мы придем к нулевому порогу новых случаев инфицирования среди детей", — заявил генсек ООН.
