Documents submitted for the Day of General
Discussion (20 September 2002) on "The Private Sector as Service Provider
and its Role in Implementing Child Rights"
At its twenty-eighth
session, in September 2001, the Committee on the Rights of the Child decided
to devote its 2002 day of general discussion (in September 2002) to the
theme of "The Private Sector as Service Provider and its Role in Implementing
Child Rights." As for previous thematic discussions, the Committee invited
representatives of United Nations organs, bodies and specialized agencies,
as well as other competent bodies, including non-governmental organizations,
research and academic organizations and individual experts, to contribute
to the discussion.
Several organizations
and individual experts submitted contributions and other relevant documents
on this theme. Here you will find a list of these contributions by "other
competent bodies", received as of 15 August 2002, in PDF format.
