EGYPT: Girls jailed over pro-Morsi demonstration

Summary: A court in Egypt has sentenced 21 female supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi to 11 years in prison.

[28 November 2013] -

The females were found guilty of multiple charges, including belonging to a terrorist group, obstructing traffic, sabotage and using force at a protest in the city of Alexandria last month.

Seven are under the age of 18 and will be sent to a juvenile detention centre.

HIV/AIDS: WHO concerned at growing number of HIV positive teenagers

BELGIUM: Country moves closer to granting euthanasia for terminally-ill children

Belgium has moved a step closer to introducing the right to grant euthanasia for terminally-ill children.

A parliamentary committee has voted the law through by a large majority.

The law, which still has to go to a vote of the full parliament that analysts say is likely to pass, would make Belgium the first country in the world to remove the age limit for euthanasia

Safeguards would, however, exist, insisting that parents approve their child's decision to die.

وبدأ الضباط حملة أطلقوا عليها اسم "عملية زهرة عباد الشمس" لإنقاذ الضحايا الأطفال والعثور على أشخاص يتبادلون وينتجون مواد إباحية تستغل الأطفال. ونفذت الحملة في انحاء الولايات المتحدة وفي ست دول وشملت اطفالا ما زال بعضهم في الثانية من العمر.
